Solfest Community Musical

Solfest Singing Picnic!

Following on the tradition of the Solfest Community Musical, this year we bring you the Singing Picnic! Bring some food to share - either with friends or more communally if you're up for that - and join in some hearty choruses of songs old and new. You can learn the material at vocal and instrumental workshops over the Solfest weekend and join us on the Drystone Stage for the performance on Sunday 25th tea-time. Everyone welcome! Bring your voice and/or an instrument. Songs include:

  • Baby I Love You (The Ramones)
  • This Land is Your Land (Woody Guthrie)
  • Caravan of Love (The Housemartins)
  • Cumberland Moon (Dave Camlin)
  • The Place Where You Earned Your Name (Simon Kay's Solfest 'anthem')

If you want to learn the songs beforehand on your own or with friends, the lyrics and rehearsal tracks are available to download from Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6smfop31hhq9r98/AAD_QMzIg2j8Y-mVg3F5scAYa?dl=0 The Dropbox contains all of the musical scores, rehearsal mixes and single vocal parts for Soprano, Alto, Tenor or Bass, as well as instrumental parts. Spread the word and join in! If you'd like any further information please contact Dave Camlin on 07580 078924 / drystone@solfest.org.uk
