Frequently Asked Questions Can I bring my caravan?Yes we do allow caravans, campers, motor-homes and trailer tents. But we encourage you to share transport where possible (for the environment's sake), arrive early to get a decent spot and travel in convoy to help reduce traffic disruption in the local area. If you intend to arrive on Thursday, you will need a £10 vehicle permit.
Can I buy tickets with cash?Yes. You can buy tickets using cash in-person at The Carnegie Theatre Workington and 33 branches of the Cumberland Building Society (some locations may not have stock at the time of purchase, so you may need to collect them later). Please click on 'Tickets' above for more details.
Where are my tickets? If you ordered your tickets from our on line shop, then delivery will take a bit longer than telephone or in person purchases. Normally 21 working days, but as we come closer to the festival, these delivery times will get shorter accordingly. For more information about postage and delivery from our on line shop, please click here.
I've lost my ticket, can I get a replacement or refund? No. Unfortunately we are unable to replace or refund tickets which have been lost or stolen. If you are concerned about this, please consider taking out suitable holiday/travel insurance or contact your card company to see if they cover your purchases. Please look after your ticket and store it securely until needed. Please note: A ticket is the only thing which will give you access to the festival. Your receipt, card statement, packing slip, etc. will not.
Will I have to pay an extra booking fee?No. We don't charge you extra fees when you buy your tickets. Standard costs are included within the one fixed price and basic postage is only £1.50, free if you order in person or over the phone. Please note: In the very unlikely event that we are forced to cancel the festival, then upto of 15% will be deducted from your refund. This is because while we do not charge you extra upfront, we still have to cover the cost of processing.
Can I buy tickets over the phone?Yes. From the Carnegie Theatre on 01900 602 122.
Where can I buy a ticket online?Only from our official online shop. No other company is licensed to sell our tickets. Some may offer them, but these are called re-sellers or 'touts'. You may occaisionally see our tickets on sites like ebay. As we allow an individual to transfer their ticket to another person, this is ok, but you must not pay more than the face value of the ticket or buy from anyone selling more than a couple, as they are unlikely to be genuine.
Can I bring or buy alcohol?Yes, but its exactly the same at Solfest as anywhere else. We would ask that you do not bring glass into the arena and that you use our recycling points when you're finished. Under-age drinking is not permitted. If you are asked for ID and you do not have any, you will be refused. Your adult ticket/wristband has nothing to do with the sale of alcohol or any other licensed products. The law is the law.
Can I bring my dog?No. Pets are not permitted for safety reasons.
Can I cancel or change my online ticket order? If your order has already been despatched: No. If your order has not yet been despatched: Possibly, at our descretion. Should you spot something wrong with your order, you should contact us immediately, so that we may fix it for you. But if its already on the way to you, then it becomes much more difficult to resolve any issues. Although we will always try to help wherever we can.
Can I camp with my friends?Yes, but we cannot guarantee it, so its best to arive early and as a group. We do not allow people to reserve, hold, mark, cordon off or otherwise claim a specific camping space. Its just not fair to other people and is impossible to manage properly.
I can't come, can I get a refund? No. Tickets are non-refundable, but they are transferable. This means that you may sell or give away your ticket. However, you may not charge more than the face value.
I'm disabled, what help is there? There will be as much assistance as we can provide, on a case-by-case basis. Please contact online sales support for more information. There is no concession for a disabled person, however they may bring a carer for free (by prior agreement).
Does my child need their own ticket?Yes, everyone at Solfest must have a ticket, however children under five years old will get their's for free! (But you must order it).
What is Solfest's address and telephone number?Solfest Ltd, PO Box 87, Maryport, Cumbria, CA15 8NF
Information Line (pre-recorded): 08432895489 Customer Support (voice-mail): 08443578538 Please Note: It can take some time for our volunteers to respond to voice-mails. For faster support please contact us now by clicking here. Can I arrive on Thursday?Yes, however you will need to purchase an advance camping ticket for each vehicle. This does not apply if you are arriving on foot or by motor/pedal bike. In any case, you must get to the site between 9am and 8pm on Thursday, because moving vehicles around the camping areas as it gets dark, poses a significan safety risk. This will aslo be when the gates are closed. There will be no access to the main arenas until 9am on Friday.
