Well, Solfest 2012 is done and dusted.  It truly is a team effort here at Solfest HQ.  We give thanks for all of the help and solidarity from the organisers and from our friends.  However, without our gorgeous punters, there would be no festival at all!  Big up the Solfesters!!!  Roll on 2013!!!

I had a wonderful time at Solfest despite the rain. The sun came up trumps on Sunday. I was a steward for the first time at a festival and enjoyed it with great people (big up the noisy field!)

Lots of great 'new' bands and great new friends. I will definitely be coming back again!

Don't know what happened this year or who was responsable, but the change around of the site was not a great idea! ie: lost kids,

paramedics and lost property for example. I've been going to the event since it first started. And in the last two festivals a lot as changed in the form of cut backs and the quality which seems to have gone down hill is a shame, as the event is fantastic in the years gone by!!

In talking to many stall holders and regular event hands of the site, in their opinion new management that wants to change things for the better is making things worse!

"WHY TRY TO FIX WHAT ISN'T BROKEN"

Come on folks we all know things must go forward but in the opinion of many people this years Solfest went backwards!

The quality of the bands and on site entertainers this year was very lacking, we dont want Solfest to end up like a money grabbing organisation like Glastonbury where the highest bidder gains all.

Capitalism destroys many things and breaks many relationships, so dont go down that route, listen to the people that go and pay hard earned cash! you will all reap the rewards in the end as will the punters.

Long live Solfest as we once new "quality not quantity"

Please take on board what many feel and what many want.

Peace and respect, much love from John XX.
