By Simon Kay, 30 May 2012 –
The Award Winning Kids arena will descend en-masse to the Drystone Arena for 1 hour this year to be entertained by legendary Scottish Children's entertainers, THE SINGING KETTLE.
For more than twenty years, Cilla Fisher, Artie Tresise and Kevin MacLeod with Cary Coupland have turned children's theatre into an art form and their unique performances have become the bench mark for fellow professionals everywhere.
They have performed in hundreds of venues from the Palladium in London to the Town Hall in Campbeltown, from the Palace Theatre in Kilmarnock to the Royal Palace in Jordan, BAFTA award winning and decorated with MBEs for services to children's entertainment, audiences worldwide are hooked on their madcap musical adventures flavoured with cheeky Scottish humour. Adults and children alike find themselves singing the songs together long after the performance is over.
For their performance at Solfest, THE SINGING KETTLE will bring some animal antics with their fantastic new show "Farmyard Party". A special 1-hour fun filled singalong. Cilla, Artie, Gary & Kevin will guarantee to have the whole family dancing, laughing and singing with loads of audience participation in this action packed festival of animal fun and frolics.
As well as fantastic Singing Kettle favourite songs like "Old MacDonald had a Farm", "Do Your Ears Hang Low" and "One Man Went to Mow" there's also the brand new "Three Pigs and the Wolf" and the chance for some lucky children to join in the fun on stage for the Sheep Dip Derby!
