Drystone Stage Acts Announced!

By Tom Kay, 20 April 2012 – 7 comments

The Solfest Drystone Stage is famous for bringing the best in contemporary folk, jazz, blues and world music to Cumbria, year after year, and we think we're well on track for 2012 with our first round of acts. We hope you'll be as excited as we are about the line up so far with something for everyone, from funky jazz to stomping bluegrass, folk, funk and blues from some well known aritists and brand new talent. There's lots more information about the bands and musicians on our line-up page... just make sure your tickets are in the post!

The line-up so far:

Aberfeldy, The Baghdaddies, Belleruche, Bellevue Rendezvous, The Hut People, Man’s Ruin, Roddy Woomble, This Is The Kit, Walsh and Pound, Bridie Jackson and The Arbour, Dub Jazz Sound System, Juba do Leão, Matt Stalker and Fables, Rob Heron and the Tea Pad Orchestra.

Thank you for booking Rob Heron and the Teapad Orchestra. Saw them recently in Newcastle and was thoroughly entertained.

Could I suggest "Louis Barrabas and the Bedlam Six" as a possible act. Very good two years ago on the main stage but I think the Drystone would suit them better.
